Meet a Queensland Museum Archaeologist and see some of the special objects from the museum collection.

Join Dr Brit Asmussen as she presents some of the rare ancient Egyptian pottery vessels from Esna which are held in the Queensland Museum collection and the subject of recent collaborative research with Macquarie University.

About the curator:

  • Dr Brit Asmussen is the Senior Curator of Archaeology, Indigenous Cultures, in the Cultures and Histories Program at Queensland Museum. Brit has been involved in a number of archaeological and anthropological research projects investigating people-land-resource relationships in Australia, Torres Strait and Papua New Guinea.
