As part of National Archaeology Week this year (16-22 May), we will be holding three trench side talks at the Port Arthur Historic Site.

All Port Arthur Historic Site ticket holders can attend a trench side talk about the current excavation of the Port Arthur Workshops. A joint research project between Port Arthur Historic Sites Management Authority and the University of New England, this excavation is investigating the processes and products of convict labour in the industrial hub of Port Arthur.

The talk will be held at 2.15 pm, on Monday 17, Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 May, at the excavation site, weather permitting.
