Did you know there is now a new certification for Heritage practitioners?
If you are an environmental professional working in the Heritage or Archaeology industry, have you considered becoming a Certified Practitioner? Becoming a Heritage Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP-H) can give you an edge in an increasingly competitive market.
The Heritage industry, which includes the areas of archaeology, anthropology, history, heritage architecture and geography, is integral for the management of a community’s historical and cultural assets. For the advancement of the archaeology and heritage industries, a high level of practice and ethics must be consistently demonstrated. Certification is one avenue to achieve this.
The Certified Environmental Practitioner’s Scheme (CEnvP) is a certification scheme that recognises the ethical practice, training and experience level of environmental and social practitioners. Certification provides a greater level of assurance to government, industry and the community of the credentials and professional standing of a practitioner. CEnvP has eight certification types, including the recently launched Heritage Specialist Certification.
This webinar will be presented by Extent Heritage Director and CEnvP-H, Dr MacLaren North and CEnvP Program Manager, Paul Corrigan. It will provide an overview of the CEnvP eligibility requirements, application process and the major benefits of becoming certified.
