Presented by Sovereign Hill as part of the Ballarat Heritage Festival.

In the 1850s, Diggers arrived from around the world to Ballarat. With them they brought their food and traditions from home.

On a cold night, in a tent, far far from home, these traditions connected them to those they had left behind.

Transporting this vision to today, we’re celebrating the autumn harvest, food in all its glory and traditions from around the world.

Heritage Harvest Weekend aims to preserve and share the cultural heritage of the Ballarat gold rush – and the rare trades brought to country Victoria from around the world.

When: 10am to 5pm Saturday 25 May and Sunday 26 May 2024
