Toni Massey, Project Lead of Wrecks on Reefs (and Vice President of the Australasian Institute for Maritime Archaeology), will be running an AIMA/NAS Part 1 training course.
The course is a two-day introduction to maritime archaeology that includes at least eight hours of classroom work in addition to practical work that may be carried out underwater and/or on land.
The Part 1 course is a general introduction to maritime archaeology which focuses on aspects such as pre-disturbance, or in other words, non-intrusive surveys of shipwreck sites.
The course has been developed by the Australasian Institute for Maritime Archaeology in partnership with the Nautical Archaeology Society.
