Explore the discovery, preservation and importance of history in our region at this year's Moreton Bay History Seminar. With three engaging guest speakers and a range of stalls and displays, the 2021 seminar promises to showcase the culture and heritage of Moreton Bay.

  • Dr Jennifer Harrison investigates stories of arrival in the 1860s of migrants from across the world as they reached the exciting and unknown destination of Moreton Bay.

  • Heritage specialist, Ben Gall discusses the importance of identifying and protecting places of archaeological significance in the Moreton Bay region.

  • Dr Lauren Istvandity from USC explores how the long history of cultural activity in Moreton Bay, from Indigenous cultures through to early arts and heritage centres might influence current and future regional identities.

Celebrating the National Trust sponsored Australian Heritage Festival and National Archaeology Week.
