Sydney Historical Archaeology Practitioners’ Workshop (SHAP) is an annual meeting that brings together students, academics, practitioners in consultancies and government, and more to discuss the latest findings, developments, and theoretical and methodological advances relating broadly to the historical archaeology of Sydney and beyond. SHAP also kicks off New South Wales National Archaeology Week, which is the third week in May.

Keynote

Associate Professor Annie Clarke (Sydney) will discuss her research at the North Sydney Quarantine Station.

Tour of Sydney Analytical

There will be a tour of Sydney Analytical – one of the University of Sydney’s core research facilities that provides state-of-the-art instruments and technical expertise for sample characterisation – for workshop participants.

Bake It!

For the first time ever this year's SHAP will also include a bake off! The theme can be anything linked to archaeology. For details check out the attached poster
