The Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation and La Trobe University are hosting a professional learning workshop during National Archaeology Week, 2024. The session will focus on the Year 7 Australian Curriculum unit ‘deep time history of Australia’ and will include workshop sessions on cultural competency in the classroom and object-based learning.
This session will be led by the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung education team. The first hour will be hybrid, hosted both in-person at the Bundoora campus of La Trobe University and on Zoom. The second hour will be in-person only, where participants will have a hands-on workshop focussed on cultural objects.
This workshop will meet APST Standard 2 and Standard 6.
Suitable for pre-service teachers and in-service teachers.
