University of Queensland
How did you become interested in archaeology?
I wish I had a more interesting answer, but of course it was Indiana Jones and Lara Croft.
What archaeological projects are you working on at the moment?
Processing of various assemblages from the Cross River Rail project as well as general storage management of archaeological collections from all around the world.
Tell us about one of your most interesting archaeological discoveries.
After my first fieldwork trip, I 'discovered' that I liked working with museum collections more than being in the field, and much more than publishing.
Tell us about a funny / disastrous / amazing experience that you have had while doing archaeology.
Ironically, working as an archaeologist in a museum, I've dealt with a surprising number of dinosaurs...
What’s your favourite part of being an archaeologist?
Aside from working with people and objects from all around the world, I feel I am doing something that will help make the world a richer and more learned place. I also get to climb around inside WWI tanks a lot.
