Where did you study?

University of Western Australia, Durham University / England, Brandenburg University of Technology / Germany, Helwan University / Egypt

How did you become interested in archaeology?

Simply a love for understanding history, cultures and being outdoors ... compounded by my 15 year old desire to know what I wanted 'to be' when I grew up!

What archaeological projects are you working on at the moment?

Helping to prepare a management plan for a camping area in North West Victoria, working with lots of different stakeholders who all have a wealth of knowledge.

Tell us about one of your most interesting archaeological discoveries.

Not myself but as part of a dig in Kosovo, a colleague found a brilliantly preserved fibula from a Roman soldier’s garment!

Also, while not 'newly' discovered, coming across and having the opportunity to record incredible rock art at Murujuga in Western Australia.

What’s your favourite part of being an archaeologist?

The diversity of the work and the field itself, there is always something new to learn and be fascinated by!
