Bake or make a creation inspired by archaeology!
Knit a scale bar, bake artefact biscuits, model a monument, the only limit is your imagination.
Post your entry on the NAW Facebook page, Twitter or Instagram and remember to include the hashtag #2023NAW and a brief description of your entry. In 2023, we have a special prize for under 18s, so if you have a crafty young person, please encourage them to get involved, and let us know in your entry description who did the making/baking!
Vote for your favourite entry for the People’s Choice award.
The competition will be open from Monday 1 May 2023 to Saturday 27 May 2023.
Download the poster here. And if you are looking for inspiration, Dr Emma Rehn has made a series of free archaeology-themed crochet patterns available, especially for NAW. Find them on Ravelry here.
The prizes will be drawn from a fantastic selection of books generously donated by the authors, publishers and friends of NAW, including:
Stuart Bedford & Matthew Spriggs (eds), Debating Lapita: Distribution, chronology, society and subsistence
