Since 2019 archaeologists from the University of Sydney have been collaborating with the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, the Karuah and Worimi Local Aboriginal Land Councils and Worimi Traditional Owners on the Broughton Island Cultural Heritage Research Project.
As part of National Archaeology Week, we invite you to a free public lecture that will offer a glimpse into the island’s rich archaeological and cultural heritage and share insights from recent research.
The lecture will be followed by afternoon tea.
Presented with support from the University of Sydney, the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, and the Australian Archaeological Association.
